Take a look at our day in SK!
Calendar: Today the calendar routine was led by Gabby.
Phonics: Today the students continued to work on Jolly Phonics. We reviewed the "Ss" and "Aa" sound, action and song and today was our first day of Show and Share! Unfortunately only one students remembered, I am hoping as we progress through the weeks we have all 4 students bringing in something. Thank you to Hunter for bringing in his "Seashells" for the letter "Ss" today! Great job Hunter!!

Journal: For journal today, students wrote three words that begin with the letter "Aa". Everyone did a terrific job coming up with the three words.
Math: Today we did some counting and focused on 1:1 correspondence. The students were given counters in the centre of their table and when I called out the number, they were to put the correct amount of counters in front of them. All students were really excited to use the counters.
Just before lunch, we had the chance to share with the Grade 8's what we know about our senses.
French: Please see Mlle. Hou's blog for more information.
Unit of Inquiry:Today the students reviewed the 5 senses. Together we matched the sense to the correct word on the board. We also reviewed our senses song (to the tune of The Farmer in the Dell). We listened to a story called Bear Goes Over the Mountain. Together we explored the things bear touched, tasted, saw, heard and smelt. Lunch/ Recess 2
Gym:Please see Ms. Lovan's blog for more information.
Pack Up
Daily 5: Today we continued the process of Daily 5. The students are so excited and are really enjoying these centres.
