Day 19

HAPPY MONDAY,

Take a look at our day:

Calendar: Today the calendar routine was led by Vaibhav. 
Phonics: Today the students were introduced to  the "Cc""Kk" sound, action and song.  Together we brainstormed a list of "Cc" and "Kk" words. We also created the letter "Cc" and "kK" with our play dough. The students then created the words cup and kind with their play dough.

Math: Today the students complete their first math test. They all did a terrific job! I am so pleased. We were missing a few students today, so the test will be handed back once these students complete the test. 
Lunch/ Recess 1 
French: Please see Mlle. Jessica's blog for more information. 
Unit of Inquiry: Today we spent this finishing up the math test. 
Those students that finished had time to silent read. 
Lunch/ Recess 2

Pack Up 
Daily 5:  Today we continued the Daily 5 rotation. The students are getting into the routine of where they go and what they do at each station. This has been running smoothly lately.

Reminders:

-       Students are to come to school on Monday and Wednesday in their gym uniform. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, students are to come to school in their full school uniform.

-       Please make sure your child has a pair of black dress shoes and a pair of gym shoes labeled and to be left at the school for their indoor shoes this year.

-       Please initial agendas on the right side of the book daily to indicate you have read the agenda slip on the left hand side. Any new information that pops up throughout the week will be written on the right side of the agenda.
