Day 30!

Happy Thursday!

Calendar: Today the calendar routine was led by Isabella.  
Phonics: Today the students continued to work on Jolly Phonics. We reviewed the sound, action and song for the letter "Dd"!  The students completed a worksheet identifying words with the "Dd" sound.

Journal: Today we completed a practice spelling test for our test next week. I am encouraging all students to continue practicing these words on a regular basis. 

During this time, we also completed a sequencing activity to help us with the practice of retelling a story. The students did a terrific job with this. 

Math: We continued to learn about patterns. We reviewed that a pattern always REPEATS and every pattern has a core. Today we discussed ABCD patterns. We completed a few together and and the students tried some on their own. They used the counters and then created that counter pattern in their journal. We will continue to practice these types of patterns tomorrow.

Unit of Inquiry: Today the students finished off their written portion of their summative project. Please keep your eyes open for the notice form tomorrow. Students will be required to put together a presentation. Please check the agendas tomorrow.

Pack Up 
Daily 5:  At the end of the day today, we read a Halloween story together.
