Day 22

Happy Thursday!

Today we began the day in the gym for a house game. We also had a few students share a song about our learner profile for the month of October (Knowledgable). 

Calendar: Today the calendar routine was led by Makaela.  
Phonics: Today the students continued to work on Jolly Phonics. We reviewed the sound, action and song for the letter "Cc", "Kk" and "Ee"!  The students completed a worksheet identifying words with the "Ee" sound. Today we also had show and share. Thank you to the students who brought something in. 

 During this time we also sang Happy Birthday to Mary-Lou!

Math: We continued to learn about patterns. We reviewed that a pattern always REPEATS and every pattern has a core. We practiced identifying the core of a few patterns together and then we tried some on our own.

Thanksgiving: Today we created a Thanksgiving turkey to bring home. The students wrote six things they are thankful for.

Pack Up 
Daily 5:  At the end of the day today, we finished up our turkey craft and a thanksgiving patterning sheet.

Reminders:

-       Students are to come to school on Monday and Wednesday in their gym uniform. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, students are to come to school in their full school uniform.

-       Please make sure your child has a pair of black dress shoes and a pair of gym shoes labeled and to be left at the school for their indoor shoes this year.

-       Please initial agendas on the right side of the book daily to indicate you have read the agenda slip on the left hand side. Any new information that pops up throughout the week will be written on the right side of the agenda.
