Day 33

Take a look at our day in SK!

Calendar: Today the calendar routine was led by Lexi. 

Phonics: Today the students continued to work on Jolly Phonics. We learned the sound, action and song for the letter "Gg"!  The students also completed a worksheet practicing the correct way to print the letter "Gg" and they identified words that started with the "Gg" sound. 

Journal- Today for their journal, the students described what their costumes would like. The students were so excited to talk about their costumes, which makes me even more excited to see them on Friday.

Math: Today we reviewed what we learned about patterns. The students reviewed making patterns with sounds and actions. In groups, the students created and practiced a sound and action pattern that were presented to the class for the other groups to try. The groups were very creative in making AB and ABC patterns with their sounds and actions. Everyone had so much fun trying out the different patterns!

Library: Today the students chose a new book from the library to keep in our classroom for Daily 5. 

Lunch/ Recess 1

Unit of Inquiry:  Today we had 6 students present their Senses Summative project. Everyone who went up today was so brave to present in front of the class. Great job! There will be just a few more presentations to go and the marks will be going home tomorrow.

Pack Up 
Daily 5:  Today Isabella wanted to read her book to the class. We were also able to complete some Halloween activities.
